How fast can you fix a broken storefront?

Can you board up a storefront overnight?
Yes. If we cannot fit new glass on the spot, we board up and secure the opening the same night so you can lock up, then come back to install the glass.
We board the opening with clean-cut plywood, clear the broken glass, and make it weatherproof so you can open in the morning. After a break-in we work around the police and your insurer, so photograph the damage before we clear up.
Do you replace tempered storefront glass?
Yes. Most storefront and entrance glass is tempered safety glass, and we replace it with the correct grade and thickness.
Tempered glass is cut and heat-treated to order, so it cannot be made on site. Most storefront panes are 6 mm (quarter inch) tempered glass or thicker.
We secure the opening the same night, order the unit, and fit it once it is ready, typically within a few days. For doors and railings we match the code-required safety rating.

How much does commercial glass replacement cost?
Commercial glass is priced on the unit, not a flat rate. You get a firm quote before any work starts, and we can invoice the business and provide documentation for your insurer.
What drives the price:
- Glass type: tempered, laminated, or a sealed double-pane unit.
- Pane size: storefront and display glass runs large.
- Single pane versus a sealed insulated unit.
- After-hours or overnight securing, billed separately from the glass.
- Access: ground-floor frontage versus upper-level or awkward spans.
- Any film, frosting, decals or branding on the original pane that needs to be replicated on the new glass.
Describe the pane and the frontage on the phone and you will have a working range before anyone is dispatched; the firm number is confirmed on site before anything is ordered. Large tempered and storefront panes sit at the higher end; a standard office pane is lower.

Common questions
Can you fit the new glass outside business hours?
Yes. The board-up happens whenever you call, and the glass install can be booked before opening, after close or overnight so the shop does not lose trading hours. Tell us your hours and we will work around them.
Can you match glass that had film, frosting or a logo on it?
We replace the glass itself, and any film, frosting or vinyl branding is applied to the new pane afterwards. Decorative film cannot be salvaged from broken glass, so mention what was on the old pane when you call and it goes into the quote.
Is storefront glass tempered or laminated?
Most storefront and entrance glass is tempered safety glass. Some entrances and overhead glazing use laminated glass. We identify the type on site and replace it with the correct grade and thickness.
Do you replace the whole frame or just the glass?
Usually just the glass unit. We keep your existing frame and hardware where they are sound, which is faster and cheaper. If the frame is damaged we will tell you on site.
Can you invoice the business or work with our insurance?
Yes. We invoice the business and provide the photos and documentation your insurer needs for a glass or break-in claim.
How long until the new storefront glass is fitted?
Securing happens the same night. The glass itself is a second step: tempered and sealed storefront units are cut and heat-treated to order, so they cannot be pulled off a shelf. Once we measure and order, it typically comes back within a few days, and we book the install for when it arrives. You are not left waiting with an open storefront in the meantime, the board-up covers that gap.
