My window is broken and the house is open. What now?
Call us and we secure the opening on the same visit. For a clean break we replace the glass on the spot. For a forced or storm break that left a hole, we board up and secure first so the house is safe, then fit the new glass after.

Can you replace just the glass and keep my frame?
Usually, yes. On most home windows and doors we replace only the broken glass and keep the existing frame and sash, which costs far less than a whole new unit. We replace the full frame only when it is rotted, bent or damaged beyond a safe glass swap.
On a standard wood, vinyl or aluminum home window we lift out the broken pane and fit new glass into the frame you already have, so a cracked bedroom window or a fogged sealed unit does not mean a full window replacement. Glass doors work the same way: the panel comes out and a new one goes in while the door, track and hardware stay.
If the frame itself is the problem, we tell you straight rather than push a bigger job.

How much does residential glass repair cost?
It depends on the type of glass, the size of the pane and whether the job is a glass-only swap or a full unit. A small single pane of clear glass sits at the low end. A large double-pane window, a tempered shower panel or a sealed unit runs higher. We confirm the price before any work starts, with no surprise add-ons.
What drives the price:
- Glass type: plain clear glass costs less than tempered safety glass, a sealed double-pane unit or a custom mirror
- Pane size: a small bedroom or basement window is cheaper than a large picture window or full patio door panel
- Glass-only versus full unit: keeping your frame and swapping just the pane costs far less than replacing the whole window or door
- Shower and mirror work: frameless shower panels and large wall mirrors are cut and fitted to size, which adds to the price
- After-hours board-up: securing a break-in or storm opening overnight is a separate step before the permanent glass goes in
A small clear pane is a modest job; a tempered shower panel is a bigger one. You will know which you have, and what it costs, before we start.

Do you replace mirrors as well as window glass?
Yes. Mirror replacement is part of our residential glass repair work. We replace bathroom, vanity, closet, hallway and wall mirrors that have cracked, chipped or come loose, cut to your opening and fitted in place.
Can you fix a foggy or misted window?
Yes. A foggy window with condensation between the panes means the sealed unit has failed. We replace the sealed glass unit and keep your existing frame, which clears the fog and restores the insulation without replacing the whole window.
